How I’ll Use my Computer

Students at Washington Technology Magnet School are working on earning their IC3 (Internet and Computing Core Certification) certification, a global program that certifies an individual’s digital literacy skills associated with basic computer and Internet use. When a student completes the certification he/she gets a free personal laptop to use to complete homework, conduct research and communication classmates and teachers.

One student who earned a free laptop recently told us that he’s going to use it to learn programming and to build a website for codeacademy.com. “This laptop will definitely help me with my future job in computers.”

Thank you to all of our partners and supporters who help make programs like this possible. To learn more about how you can contribute to similar programs, click here.
