Why STEM?

We work on a lot of projects with schools throughout the state to advance STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education. Today, having the appropriate technological resources is crucial to effectively teach students these complex subjects and unfortunately many schools don’t have the necessary funds to equip their classrooms appropriately.

Why is STEM so important? We’re glad you asked. Tamara Gillard, the executive director of MCFS participates on numerous committees, one of them being the Minnesota High Tech Association’s K-12 Education Subcommittee. The committee recently released an infographic that explains the importance of STEM education in Minnesota. Check it out and learn more about our work in STEM education.
