Award Spotlight: Medtronic

Each year we host an event to gather our donors, funders, partners and supporters to celebrate the successes of the previous year. As part of the program we award three partners who went above and beyond to make an impact in the lives of students in Minnesota and we want to take some time to recognize them here.

Today we’re talking about Medtronic, a company that donated all high-end, refurbishable laptops in 2013. It took a lot of hard work and persistence, but after years or trying to find out who to talk to about having unused computers donated to MCFS Dave Scheffler, former MCFS board member, worked with the Field Services Division at Medtronic to provide us with amazing laptops this past fall and potentially again this spring.

100% of the laptops donated were refurbishable and two-thirds of the laptops were placed in our schools within the first month of receipt.

We wouldn’t be able to accomplish the goals we set or do the work that we do, without equipment donors like Medtronic.
