Computer Literacy Training for Ex-Offenders

5thave1

We recently partnered up with CTEP (Community Technology Engagement Program) and Amicus on a project that we’re really excited about – one that is close to our hearts.

A big part of the program at MCFS providing job training to inmates at the Stillwater prison. Many of the inmates that we employ don’t have any work experience and it’s critical for them to have employable skills when they’re released to ensure that they have a successful and productive life after prison.

The program we’re working with CTEP and Amicus on provides computer literacy training to ex-offenders to help them prepare to enter the workforce. When individuals successfully complete the program, they will get to keep the laptop that used in training. We were able to provide 20 computers for the program and will be sharing updates as it gets underway!
