NAID Certified Data Sanitization

R2 and NAID certifications guarantee that your data is safe and equipment that cannot be reused is recycled responsibly.

ZERO data breaches in our 22-year history!

Your data security is our primary concern. That’s why we adhere to the highest standards of information destruction, hard drive sanitization and electronics recycling. MCFS is both R2 certified and NAID AAA-certified. The combination of these two certifications guarantees that your data is safe and any equipment that cannot be reused is recycled responsibly. We are happy to provide a certificate of destruction, upon request.

NAID Certified
MCFS is NAID certified! NAID certification guarantees you that your data is safe. We follow strict guidelines and adhere to the highest standards of data destruction and hard drive sanitization.

National Institute Standards and Technology (NIST) SP800-88 data sanitization
Every hard drive goes through a rigorous scrubbing process using WipeDrive Enterprise, a wiping tool that meets NIST 800-88 standards and is HIPAA and NIAP certified. The use of WipeDrive assures our donors that their computer’s operating system and all personal data will be completely removed from the drive.

If you’d like us to physically destroy your hard drives, we can run them through a degausser for no additional cost. The magnetic charge from the degausser destroys the hard drive and any data.

Certified Employees
In order to guarantee that your data is secure, access to donated hard drives is heavily restricted. The employees responsible for intake and data sanitization pass annual passed a criminal background check, drug screening, employment history verification, and an I-9 verification. A certified employee oversees all hard drives throughout the sanitizing and data destruction processes.

Transporting Donated Equipment
MCFS takes full legal responsibility for donated equipment and data, which are protected by our $2 million liability insurance policy. Equipment is loaded into our truck carefully and locked to ensure it is safe from theft and makes it safely to our warehouse.
