First CORE: IT Class of 2021

We’re excited to share that our HTML5 and CSS course kicks off Monday, February 8th! This free course is part of our CORE: IT program which provides workforce training to individuals who want to start a career in tech. These classes are an important part of our organization and help to provide digital equity to students of all ages across Minnesota. Everyone deserves the opportunity and resources to achieve a stable income.

This seven-week class teaches students the basic building blocks of Web design and style – HTML5 and CSS. By the end of the course, students will understand all the fundamental  elements – from headers and links to images and sidebars – and leave having built a basic framework for their own website. Students who complete this course will receive a verified certificate from W3C and Microsoft.

If you’d like to enroll, or know someone who might, you can register either through Geoffrey Gill at Urban League Twin Cities at ggill@ultcmn.org, or Ryan Howard at Neighborhood House at rhoward@neighb.org. This course is virtual right now to keep everyone safe and healthy. We’re incredibly proud of our teachers for pivoting their classes to online so we could keep them up even in the midst of a pandemic.
