CTEP is a truly amazing organization in St. Paul and we feel grateful to partner with them on a variety of projects throughout the year – ex-offender computer literacy training, digital scavenger hunts and Digi Daze.
Digi Daze is a free public fair showcasing learning opportunities related to technology for youth, adults and seniors. This year’s fair drew more than 160 people and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to give away four laptops throughout the day.
One of the winners was Me Mar, a woman who has spent much of her life at a refugee camp in Thailand and who is now a student in CTEP member Hnou Vang’s computer classes at the Hmong American Partnership. Me Mar is a 40 year-old mother of two who lives in St. Paul and knew immediately what she wanted to do with the computer – become more involved in her son’s education.
